Freshfields Vision Scholarship

Our scholarship for dedicated students of law to promote diversity in the Legal Industry. 

The Freshfields Vision Scholarship, in collaboration with the Springboard association, offers students with international family history the opportunity to participate for one year (October 2021 to September 2022) in a support program that includes mentoring and training and financial support of 250 euros per month.
The students will be supported by Freshfields lawyers and gain exciting insights into an international law firm in which all dimensions of diversity are are practiced.

Your profile

The scholarship is aimed at committed students (f/m/x) who have successfully completed the second portion of the law program or have successfully completed the bachelor’s program in business law (WU Vienna) by the beginning of the scholarship.
If you are are also interested in economics and have have successfully completed examinations of at least 16 ECTS in the past academic year, we look forward to receiving your application.

Your Tasks

In this exciting role you will manage the business development activities of the Austrian practice in close collaboration with our Vienna-based partners.   • First point of contact for the Vienna partners and associates with relation to all Marketing and Business Development (MBD) activities

  • Regularly monitoring press and other external sources and feeding intelligence on opportunities in the market to relevant lawyers
  • Undertaking research and analysis on clients, targets, markets, competitors, etc.

Your Profile

  • A degree preferably with a focus on economics, law or marketing
  • 2+ years in a similar role within a professional services environment and an understanding of the legal landscape and trends will be an advantage
  • Eager to work as part of a global team
  • Excellent English and German skills at least on business fluent level are essential
  • Strongly positive, pro-active and pragmatic mentality and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic work environment
  • High level of social competence and service orientation
  • Agile project management experience will be an additional advantage
