We are looking for committed and highly qualified associates (f/m/x) with a special interest in antitrust, competition and trade law to support our team in Vienna. An affinity to work in the international realm together with our offices in Brussels, London, Washington, and several locations in Germany is highly encouraged.

Your Tasks

In our practice group, we advise national and international companies from a wide variety of sectors in the area of European as well as Austrian antitrust, competition and trade law. We are active both in an advisory and forensic capacity and work very closely with our colleagues from other offices and areas of law. We advise transactions, proceedings of administrative bodies as well as “Compliance Counselling” and frequently collaborate with colleagues from other areas of law to offer the best possible advice to our clients.

Within the scope of your future work, you will be in charge of the following main areas:

  • Merger control proceedings of the Austrian competition authorities as well as the European Commission
  • Antitrust proceedings (including the accompaniment of house searches, fine proceedings)
  • Abuse control
  • Compliance with antitrust law
  • State aid law
  • Contract review (in particular distribution law) as well as expert opinions on antitrust issues

Your Profile

Your Tasks

In our practice group People & Reward we advise Austrian as well as international companies from various sectors on Austrian and European labour law, in particular with the following focus:

  • Solving employment law issues in the context of national and international corporate acquisitions and restructurings; related support and coordination of the employee-related parts of the project
  • Strategic advice and structuring of our clients’ operational labour relations (for example, works councils, working time issues, compliance systems, employee data protection)
  • Contractual matters – drafting and negotiating of employment contracts (in particular for management board members and managing directors), drafting of works council agreements and template contracts; contract terminations and related required agreements
  • Whistleblowing & internal investigations
  • Compensation topics – in particular employee incentive schemes, stock and option plans and other types of variable compensation
  • Company pension law – advice on company pension schemes and restructuring steps
  • Representation of our clients in labour law disputes before courts and authorities

In the future, you will work closely in a team on these focus areas, regularly also with colleagues from other offices and other areas of law on cross-border issues in several jurisdictions.

To strengthen our team in Vienna we are looking for focused and engaged law interns (f/m/x) for 2022 to work among our varying practice groups for the duration of one-month respectively.

Your Tasks

Get to know us “unplugged” and discover exciting insights into our daily work and team while gaining experience in an international law firm. You will support us to deliver excellent work for our top clients among the various practice groups, for example:

  • Support our associates and partners with everyday work
  • Sit in on negotiations and court hearings
  • Help us draft briefs and consultations as well as learn how to construct memos and revise contracts
